Andesite Cup

This cup has been made form a dark Devon clay and glazed using volcanic Andesite from Somerset. It has been woodfired. The iron rich rock gives a dark tenmoku like glaze and the magnesium in the rock and wood ash has produced a dusting of yellow/gold crystals .
