Nuka bottle

This bottle has been glazed with a nuka type glaze, giving an opaque white colour with definite hints of blue. The glaze was made using an igneous rock from Fife in Scotland. The dark splashes are an andesite glaze from a rock from Somerset.

The clay body is Devon clays. It is a particularly fine example of how this glaze can respond to a wood firing.
