Shino bottle

This bottle is glazed with a shino type glaze made using a very rare microgranite from Dartmoor, with all other materials from the same area. It has been fired on its side, under a stoke hole, becoming buried in embers during the wood firing. These then burnt away giving the ash runs you can see.

The clay body is made from Devon clays.
